Fabulous Fabby: Nigerian pro wrestling talent to watch out for

“I HAVE COME TO STAY”

According to the Oxford languages dictionary, a Fabian is a member or supporter of the Fabian Society, an organization of socialists aiming to achieve socialism by gradual means rather than revolutionary means. Nigerian pro wrestling talent Fabulous Fabby, who has his real name as Fabian Chidozie Alaje, hails from Ezira, an Igbo speaking town in southeastern Nigeria in the Orumba South local government area of Anambra state where traditional wrestling means a lot.

Ezira is also known as Eziha which means “showing others the light” in the indigenous language. It has four satellite villages: Obuotu, Ubaha, Imoohia and Okii, of which Obuotu is the head of the villages. Ezira as a town has produced men and women of calibre who have sincerely contributed meaningfully to the development of Ezira and Anambra state, in particular such as Professor Godwin Onu, the former Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko in Anambra State who coincidentally happens to be an uncle to Fabian. We can not forget to mention Honourable Barr and John Onyeakpa, the former chairman of the Orumba south local government Area also in Anambra state.

Wrestling in the Igbo culture has been a very popular sport in the communities. The sport has a way to show off skill and strength as well as culture, values, and traditions. From time immemorial, wrestling was done physically by young men who are fit and up to the task. Before the wrestling season, young men would train for months to get prepared for the coming annual traditional wrestling and this was constantly done in the Ezira town.

Fabian, who is the last born out of 10 children (5 boys and 5 girls), has pro wrestling skills and gimmicks running in his veins and he is ready to take on any challenger having been training since the year 2018 in Abuja, the federal capital of Nigeria. Fabian, who has been training under the auspices of Captain Black, has now mastered the game to an extent and he is indeed proud of that.

‘’Pro Wrestling is my game. My passion. My love. I have been watching professional wrestling as a baby and I grew up with that.  Hulk Hogan stands out among my favourite wrestlers. Terry Eugene Bollea, better known by his ring name Hulk Hogan, an American professional wrestler and television personality who is widely regarded as the most recognized wrestling star worldwide and the most popular wrestler of the 1980s and the 1990s is the man. My main man. My mentor and my role model,’’ emphasized Fabulous Fabian.

Action all the way

Fabulous Fabby has a dream of becoming a world champion and he is not relaxing on this dream as he has set for himself an achievable goal of clinching the title via constant training daily in the morning and evening. We can only wish this upcoming talent luck in his chosen career as he is climbing the ladder of success.
