Scotty 2 Hotty to make ESW return

Empire State Wrestling will return to Niagara Falls on Saturday, September 23 with Turn It Up. The event will be at the Frontier Fire Hall (2176 Liberty Drive, Niagara Falls, NY) and feature former World Wrestling Entertainment star Scotty 2 Hotty

Scotty 2 Hotty was a long-time staple of the WWE roster who was known for his time with the fun-loving faction Too Cool with Grand Master Sexay and Rikishi and performing "The Worm".  During his tenure with the promotion, he was a two-time Tag Team Champion and one-time Light Heavyweight Champion.

At Turn It Up, Scotty will take on "The Inspiration" Gregory Iron. This will be Scotty's second match in ESW with his first one occurring in 2016 when he challenged then-ESW Heavyweight Champion Will Calrissian for the title in Olean, N.Y. Iron last wrestled in ESW in June, besting T.J. Epixx. Iron also preceded to mock Scotty before the match began.

Turn It Up will also include:

  • Brother vs. Brother No. 1 Contenders' Match: "Big Time" Bill Collier vs. "Invincible" Vince Valor - winner will receive an ESW Heavyweight Championship opportunity

  • ESW Tag Team Champion High Seas vs. Waves & Curls

  • "Stand Out" Taylor Rising vs. Haley Dylan

  • Edge of Hope vs. To Infinity & Beyond and "Rockstar" Robby Vegas

  • "The Aesthetic Crippler" Kevin Blackwood vs. "The Problem" Isaiah Broner

  • Money Shot vs. CXR

  • "The Holy Hand Grenade' James Sayga vs. "Moonlight Son" Mike Skyros

  • A special appearance by ESW Heavyweight Champion "The Remix" Kevin Bennett

  • More matches to be announced on ESW"s social media platforms

Doors open at 5 p.m. with bell-time set for 6 p.m. Tickets are available at ESWTIX.COM where service fees apply. Front row seats are sold out. Second row seats are $25 and General Admission tickets are $20. Ticket prices rise by $5 at the door.

Scotty 2 Hotty will hold a training seminar earlier in the afternoon at Frontier. Scotty posses a wealth of industry knowledge and previously served as a WWE producer and coach. This is a great training opportunity for current wrestlers and students from all wrestling schools. The session begins at 1 p.m. and costs $40. To reserve a spot, email eswoffice@yahoo.com.

Pro wrestling legends Kevin Nash, X-Pac, The Hurricane, D-Von Dudley, Al Snow, The Honky Tonk Man, Sgt. Slaughter, Raven, Brutus Beefcake, Demolition, Jim Duggan, Koko B. Ware, Bushwacker Luke, The Sandman and Bob Holly appeared at previous ESW events.

Founded in 2002, ESW is run by Brett Stymus. Over half of ESW’s performers reside in the Western New York area. ESW runs regular shows throughout the year that draw several hundred fans, with some events being attended by up to 1,000 people.
