Alexis Lee and Crystal face off in the first women’s pro wrestling match in Vietnam

A young pro wrestling scene will see many firsts during its formative years. One of these important firsts just took place in Vietnam, home of Vietnam Pro Wrestling, as the first women’s pro wrestling match just took place at VPW’s Burning Dawn event on January 7th, 2023.

Crystal, who hails from the Philippines, challenged Alexis Lee of Singapore for the Singapore Pro Wrestling Queen of Asia Championship in the historic first match. The VPW Instagram page has some cool photos and a highlight clip of the match.

In what looked to be a great match, Alexis Lee escaped as the winner and was lucky enough to bring the title belt back home to Singapore.

Congratulations to Crystal and Alexis Lee for achieving this historic first and kudos to Vietnam Pro Wrestling for making it a priority to bring women’s pro wrestling to the fans of Vietnam.

You can check out a highlight clip from all of the matches at VPW Burning Dawn below.
