REW Pakistan champion resigns title and joins Pakistani army

In a post shared to their Instagram page, Revolution Eastern Wrestling has announced that their Ring of Slam World Heavyweight Champion Noom will be vacating his title. The Ring of Slam title is considered to be on equal footing with REW’s World Championship, which is currently held by Indian wrestler Gopal Sharma.

Although the company has been on hold due to the Covid-19 situation in the country, this is the second title that has either changed hands or become vacant during this mandated time off. The company’s Fight or Die title belt changed hands back in early June, as we covered on this site, after Xekay, along with REW President Wahib Jamil, ambushed Raja Naveed in the president’s office, bringing to an end his title reign and his career in REW.

The exits of Raja Naveed and Noom from the company, and the title vacancy created by Noom’s departure, leaves some open space at the top of REW that is ripe for the picking. What REW wrestlers will take that next step to claim their spots at the top of the company’s pecking order? Hopefully we can find out soon, once the Covid-19 situation dies down a little.
