Nepal and India square off in squared circle with new champions crowned following a bloody women’s hardcore match

Nepal’s Ultimate Wrestling Entertainment teamed up with the Indian wrestlers that are affiliated with Pakistan’s Revolution Eastern Wrestling for an event this past Saturday tagged the Indo-Nepal Championship in Janakpur, Nepal.

Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to track down very much footage of the event to this point, just one full match and a few photos. But we do have some information on a couple of the matches and championship title belts that were captured at the event. Former REW World Champion Gopal Sharma was in action at the event for the first time under the REW banner since being stripped of his title belt after no-showing the event in Nepal that featured Pakistani and American wrestlers that we covered a few weeks back. Also in action at the event for Nepal’s UWE were The Yuv and Thagu, two former members of the Nepal Ring Wrestling Association roster.

Inside the ring, we’re able to confirm that The Yuv won a match that would crown him as REW’s first ever Undisputed Champion.

A second bout that we can confirm that took place also had title implications. This bout was between Nepal’s “The Lady Dragon” Muna Shrestha, the founder of UWE Nepal, and an Indian opponent. This was the only full bout we were able to track down video of. The hometown crowd was heavily behind the Lady Dragon in this match and despite the punishment she took, including having light tubes smashed over her back and bleeding from multiple wounds, Muna Shrestha was able to leave the match as the first ever REW Women’s Champion. The Lady Dragon also becomes a double champion with the victory as she is currently the reigning Women’s Champion of UWE Nepal.

As we mentioned, the women’s championship match was the only full match that we were able to track video down for from the event. You can watch that bloody match in full below!
