First ever Nigerian women’s triple threat match now available on WrestleMap
This past Sunday in Abuja, Nigeria was historic for the Nigerian pro wrestling for a few different reasons. The NPWF crowned a new national heavyweight champion in Mighty Man and Aliking The Action Disaster left Abuja with the trophy that every wrestler wanted to get their hands on. There was also some history made by the women in the federation as well as Stylish J, Iron Lady Becky and Alexandra The Great squared off in Nigeria’s first ever women’s triple threat match!
Hail the new heavyweight champion of Nigeria, Mighty Man
A champion is a person who has surpassed all rivals in a sporting contest or other competition. A champion is also a winner, or someone who's really good at something and that is who De Mighty Man is now. Mighty Man, whose real name is Happy Okolo, has become the Nigeria Pro Wrestling Federation (NPWF) national heavyweight champion and title holder. For a while, he has been eyeing the federation’s Heavyweight title and the mission has now been accomplished.

Pro wrestling expanding into South India; Rancor Fighters is first pro wrestling organization in South Indian state of Kerala
Pro wrestling continues to expand into South India. Not too long ago, we reported on the first pro wrestling match to ever take place in South India. That match was held by the DMS Academy of Pro Wrestling in July 2019 in the South Indian state of Karnataka.
Now, just about two years later, we are seeing the continued expansion of pro wrestling into South India.
Two champions meet face to face in the DRC
This meeting has been in the planning stages for a couple weeks. Dix-Francs, the president and inaugural champion of World Wrestling Congo and Zombi De Kibambi the champion of Africa, as recognized by Brussels Young Wrestling Style from Belgium, had a face off on Sunday and furthered discussions regarding a match between the two.
