Tales From the Map: Caught in the Middle of the Iran Wrestling War

Introducing Tales from the Map, a new occasional podcast series that will look at WrestleMap founder Bryan Anderson's personal experiences while working with pro wrestlers around the globe and his interesting experiences within the industry.

This inaugural episode focuses on the story of how Bryan got caught in the middle of the Iranian wrestling war between two promotions based in the city of Rasht, Iran. A unique and unlikely setting for pro wrestling and an international reputation at least in the Western world for the country of Iran leads to some scary and fascinating moments.
