Brawl breaks out in Karachi restaurant after REW Pakistan president assaulted by free agent wrestler

The patrons of Chai Chokhat in Karachi, Pakistan were in for a wild scene this past weekend. The president of Revolution Eastern Wrestling and some of the company’s wrestlers were making an appearance at the restaurant when suddenly, the company’s president Wahib Jamil was attacked by a hooded assailant. Cameras on hand were able to capture the attack. Early on in the attack, The Kovu Brandon can be seen on the video approaching the assailant but backing off and letting the attack continue without taking any action.

After nearly a minute of an uninterrupted assault on the REW president, REW’s Fight or Die Champion Xekay attempted to intervene by breaking a fluorescent light tube over the attackers back. But the light tube just seemed to infuriate the attacker, who then turned his anger toward Xekay and the two brawled all throughout the restaurant’s courtyard with Xekay taking the brunt of the damage. REW Asian Champion XMAK eventually arrived on the scene and rushed the injured Xekay to the hospital.

So who was that assailant? While it may have been hard to tell at first given the wrestler’s new shaved head, the hoodie he was wearing made it clear. The attacker was the hottest free agent wrestler in Pakistan, Jordan Hurr. Jordan was the first ever Pro Wrestling Federation of Pakistan World Champion and is recognized as the first national pro wrestling champion of Pakistan. He has also held numerous other titles in Pakistan throughout his career. Hurr has been linked with REW over the past few months since his free agency was announced but has never announced that he has signed with the company and instead, has been more of an adversary and thorn in the side of REW.

Although REW has been on a forced hiatus due to the Covid-19 situation in Pakistan, the company has announced that they plan to come back with a huge show aptly titled The Huge Pakistan Clash at some point in August when restrictions allow. In their down time, REW has been far from quiet as they’ve seen title changes, champions vacating titles after joining the military and a hacking scandal that took REW and its president offline for a brief time.

What will come of this attack? Will Jordan Hurr be competing at The Huge Pakistan Clash and taking his anger with REW out on Xekay at the big return event? What about The Kovu Brandon? There were several questions as to where his allegiances lie following his participation in what appeared to be a double cross of his former teammate on behalf of REW President Wahib Jamil and Xekay. But his inaction in this attack creates even more questions. August is sure to be a big month for Revolution Eastern Wrestling!
