It was the eleventh edition of the International Catch Festival and one that at the same time celebrated the 15th anniversary of French company Association Biterroise de Catch, so the Arenes de Béziers - which is a structure that looks very similar to Campo Pequeno Bullring in Lisbon - saw an event that brought some historic figures, like Claude Roca... or Shanna herself, the most popular wrestler in this true “stable” of French Wrestling.

Morris, who will be sponsoring the Morris Atula Cadet Amateur Wrestling Championship, scheduled to hold at the Sam Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, Edo State from Monday 19th to Wednesday 21st July, 2021, was full of excitement during the interview session. Morris was a great amateur wrestler in his day as he won several laurels and awards during his amateur wrestling career as a trainer in Niger State where he pioneered the wrestling sport.

WrestleMap was able to get its hands on the news coverage of the Nigeria Pro Wrestling Federation’s joint press conference with the Asagba of Asaba, Prof. Joseph Chike Edozien. At this press conference, the NPWF presented the Asagba of Asaba with a prestigious award, naming him the National Grand Patron of the NPWF.
So how did that WCW ring apron end up in Trinidad anyway?
One of our most popular stories of the past year came on the twentieth anniversary of the purchase of World Championship Wrestling by World Wrestling Entertainment. On that date (March 24, 2021), we shared the tweet below regarding a WCW ring apron that somehow made its way all the way to the island of Trinidad in the country of Trinidad and Tobago and was still in use by a promotion based on the island known as New Evolution Wrestling.
